 Trip overview (departure/return times/points).
We need adult volunteers to help with transportation.
New Elections
This past weekend, Brian and Ryan completed the induction ceremony called the Ordeal,.  The Ordeal is the first step toward full membership. The entire experience is designed to teach significant values.

1.  Newly elected troop leadership. (Please have Shawn confirm his new leadership team.  I'm think it goes something like this Shawn Bunnel (Sr. Patrol Leader), Bruno Moraes (Ast. Sr. Patrol Leader), Ryan Lindemann (Patrol Leader of Dragons), Griffin Harrington (Ast. patrol leader-dragons), Cody Thompson (Patrol Leader of the Neanderthals), Kyle Bunnell (Ast. Patrol leader of the Neanderthals???), You (scribe), David Lindemann (troop guide), Brian Donney (Instructor).  I'm missing someone and I know it....historian????
2.  Josh Stein Eagle Ceremony - Troop 306 held the Eagle Court of Honor for Josh Stein.  Josh earned the Arrow of Light as a WEBELOS, was a member of the Order of the Arrow, and completed his council Board of Review on August 29th and was recognized for the achievement on September 9th.  Josh is currently attending Florida Atlantic University.
3.  Den Chief training - You need to talk this up a little since you attended.
4.  Upcoming meeting on Tuesday
5.  Upcoming snorkeling trip.
6.  Ryan Lindemann and Brian Donney just completed their Ordeal this weekend. Since you probably don't know much about the order of the arrow, I've included a brief write-up below:

Congratulations go out to Brian Donney (Life) and Ryan Lindemann (Star) for completing their Ordeal this past weekend at TK.  Both scouts completed the induction ceremony called the "Ordeal".  The Ordeal is the first step toward full membership.
The Order of the Arrow is Scouting's National Honor Society whose purpose is fourfold:
To recognize those Scout campers who best exemplify the Scout Oath and Law in their daily lives
To develop and maintain camping traditions and spirit
To promote Scout camping
To crystallize the Scout habit of helpfulness into a life purpose of leadership in cheerful service to others
Brian and Ryan were elected to the Order by their fellow troop members, following approval by the Scoutmaster. To become a member, a scout must hold First Class rank. The scout must have experienced fifteen days and nights of Boy Scout camping during the two-year period prior to the election. The fifteen days and nights must include one, but no more than one, long-term camp consisting of six consecutive days and five nights of resident camping, approved and under the standards of the Boy Scouts of America. The balance of the camping must be overnight, weekend, or other short-term camps.
Again, congratulations to both scouts!
Welcome to a new Year!
