Pack 306

Whew! What a weekend! We had a great pirate adventure at camp Tanah Keeta. Granted, our camp wasn't in the middle of everything, but it was they only one with "camp chair" movies (thanks to Pat and Craig). It was a very hot, a record breaking 91 degrees in mid- October, but we took to the pool at the hottest part of the day, and like any pirate, we wouldn't give up a good thing..Arrgh! How long did you stay Craig? We had quite a crowd, 79 at our camp, and 1400 at the entire event....It took some effort but we were able to squeeze in something for everyone, canoeing, pirate games, sword fights, BB, archery, sports, craft, and we had a treasure hunt where we found booty a plenty! We had Capn' Jack the Pirate and his wife ..was it Betty? She brought along a whole flock of parrots that could squawk  louder than my whistle ( that's pretty loud, eh Annette?). Capn' Jack did a show at the camp fire, I heard it was interesting, from the two people down front that could hear him...Arrrgh! We finished up the weekend with the dirtiest boy in the camp..congratulations to Jacob Levin, who can own the title "Sir Dirt" until the next camp-out.
